Transitional Pieces

The key to in-between seasons is layers! When it’s a little too warm for your heavy winter jacket, but still a little too chilly to go without. Instead try layering a tee, with a denim vest then add a light jacket. Or pair your top with a lightweight scarf then complete the look with a light sweater or blazer.

Here are some transitional pieces that I am currently pining over.

My Vote for Best Dressed

Last night I was able to catch some of the Oscars. I was loving a lot of the looks this year. I loved that some of the ladies went with a simple hair style. It was the perfect balance to their very formal dresses.
Here are some of my favorite looks from the night.

My New Go-To Lip Stain

There are certain stores that can sucker me in. It never fails, I go for one item and walk out with twenty! Recently, when shopping for some “necessities,” I stumbled upon Revlon’s Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. I am a big fan of lip stains. All the color minus the stickiness of a gloss. Seeing that the Just Bitten Stains were buy one, get one 50%, I thought I’d try it.
Since I wasn’t able to open them in the store, I had to judge each color solely on the color of the tube. I decided to go with Cherish and Lovesick. I am not 100% sold on Cherish, but I LOVE Lovesick! I love the look of it and it honestly feels like I’m not wearing anything on my lips.
While perusing on Pinterest, I stumbled upon this awesome Just Bitten review with picture. After seeing the other colors, I want to go back to the store and get Crush, Rendezvous, AND Honey!

Get their favorite candy, place it in a mason jar or fun bag.
Create Valentine’s Gift Basket (fill it with a nice bottle of wine, blanket for snuggling, a good movie, a packet of popcorn, and don’t forget some chocolate!)
DIY Gift Cards. Got a computer? …then you are good to go with this gift. Be creative!
My Valentine’s gift to W is homemade this year. Fingers crossed he likes it =)
